At Your Fingertips

The internet allows you to have the world at your fingertips and I want to share with you a few of the websites that I use on a regular basis.

Wholesome Baby Food
(http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com)

When Tanner and Abigail turned five months old I began making baby food. Being a new mom, I had no idea where to start. I had been given a Cooking for Baby Cookbook which had recipes for basic food purees and other more elaborate baby meals. I wanted more information about food preparation, nutrition information, and when/how to introduce new foods. I found what I needed with this website, which my friend Chelsea told me about at Mother's Milk. It has month-by-month food charts, articles about introducing new foods, allergies, and recipes, recipes, and more recipes!

Diapers.com
(http://www.diapers.com)

I first heard about this website from my friend Julie when she was pregnant with her son Phineas. She told me that they sold every brand of diaper with FREE 2-day shipping on orders of $49 or more. I received a gift certificate for Diapers.com from the members of my handbell choir once Tanner and Abigail were born. I hadn't checked yet checked out the website, but once I did...I was HOOKED! They sell more than just diapers...formula, clothing, toys, strollers, bug spray, breast pads, etc. If it is made for a baby, then I bet they sell it!

Pampers Village
(http://www.pampers.com)

When Tanner and Abigail were in the NICU one of the nurses asked me if I was collecting the Pampers Gifts to Grow Rewards codes. I told her no since I had no idea what they were. She told me that she was collecting them for the daughter of one of the nurses, but wanted to ask me first before she took the sticker off the package of diapers in Abigail's NICU room. Once we got home I noticed the Gifts to Grow stickers on each package of diapers and wipes I opened so I decided to check the website out and see what the "rewards" program was all about. First you create an account and type in the rewards codes found on Pampers products. Each code has a point value and you begin to accumulate points. Your points can then be redeemed for diapers.com gift certificates, Shutterfly picture packages, toys, magizine subscriptions, and much more.

Baby Steals
(http://www.babysteals.com)

This website has a deal of the day (actually two at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.) on brand name baby clothes, maternity products, baby shower gift ideas, and baby presents for new moms. If you have a habit of impulse buying then this might not be a good sight for you. I used to have the site bookmarked, but too often I found myself saying, "Oh that is really neat, I could use one of those," for each and every thing that they were selling. I haven't personally bought anything from this site, but I check it out once in a while.

24 Hour Cribside Assistance
(http://www.newdadmanual.ca)

As the website states, "This is a guy's site - developed by fathers for fathers. We've been in your shoes. We all remember what it was like to be a new dad - overwhelming, confusing, intimidating, tiring, but also amazing and just really cool. We want to help you get to the cool part by answering your basic questions about babies, new moms and new dads." This website has lots of great videos for Dad and Mom too!
