Who Are You Callin' a Turkey?

Tired of hamburgers and hot dogs yet? Here is a turkey burger recipe that is sure to please even the most carnivorous member of your family. Believe it or not this is actually a Weight Watcher recipe...one that I use A LOT! These burgers are so juicy and flavorful I prefer them over regular burgers. You can enjoy them any time of year because they can be grilled, broiled, or cooked on a George Foreman Grill. So make a batch to grill tonight or enjoy them in February when you have a hankering for a summertime dish.

Turkey Burgers
(Makes 4 larger burgers)

1 lb. lean ground turkey
1/2 medium red onion, chopped
1 large egg, beaten
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped
1 medium garlic clove, minced
1/2 t. dried tarragon
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper

1. Lightly combine all ingredients in a bowl. Form into 4 burgers (I make mine a little smaller so I get about 6 burgers).
2. The burgers can be grilled, broiled, or cooked with a George Foreman Grill. Broiling: Preheat broiler. Spray broiler rack with nonstick spray. Broil 4 inches from heat until brown, about 5 minutes on each side. Grilling: Grill on medium/high heat about 6 minutes on each side. George Foreman: See manual for suggested cooking time.
