The Devil's Deviled Eggs

I had no idea that most people made deviled eggs with mayonnaise until I was in college! Can you believe it? Boy was I surprised when I bit into my first mayonnaise deviled egg...I thought there was something wrong with it. It wasn't gross, just very different from the deviled eggs I grew up eating. I never met a deviled egg I didn't like, but my father's spicy filled eggs are the BEST!

Deviled Eggs

(Makes 1 dozen)

6 eggs, hard boiled

2 T. yellow mustard
4 T. ketchup
1/2 t. celery salt
3 dashes pepper
2 dashes Tobasco
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
Paprika

1. Cut eggs in half and remove yolks.
2. Mix yolks and all other ingredients in a food processor or with an electric mixer.
3. Use a pastry bag or spoon to fill each egg half with yolk mixture.
3. Sprinkle filled eggs with paprika.

  1. Those sound yummy. I make them with horseradish sauce. Or, if I am particularly lazy, I just spread a little horseradish sauce over each half. But I like a good burn...
