Seagull

Once the Twinkies are up and dressed for the day Matt and I bring them downstairs for a little morning play time. While they are happily reading books, stacking blocks, or cuddling stuffed animals in the living room, Matt and I enjoy our breakfasts in the kitchen. Occasionally Tanner or Abigail will come in to show us a toy they are playing with or to chase one of our two cats (Willy or Gus) around and under the kitchen table, but for the most part they play quietly together in the living room.

This is the way it was until the beginning of September. That is when Abigail finally realized exactly what Matt and I were doing in the kitchen while she was playing with her brother in the living room. It only took her about two and a half months to figure it out, but she is on to us now. Now instead of playing with toys she lurks nearby and begs to be picked up. Once she is picked up she must be fed. It doesn't matter what kind of cereal we are eating, she wants some, and she wants some now! Recently Matt discovered that if he gives her a small bite instead of picking her up she will go away, but she usually returns a minute later for more.
