I have recently noticed that they have been spending more time playing with non-toy items in the house. It seems that everywhere I look I see one of them playing with juice bottles, egg cartons, or shoes left around the house. This leads me to believe that like other young children they will be more interested in the boxes and bags that their Christmas gifts come in, so I really shouldn't worry too much about finding the right toy.

Who Needs Expensive Toys?
Christmas time is here which means like most parents I have been racking my brain trying to come up with the "perfect" gifts for my children. Matt and I have put lots of thought into what we think Tanner and Abigail will like since they are unable to tell us what they want. The years ahead I am sure will be filled with letters to Santa, pictures circled in toy catalogs, and hints dropped around the dinner table. Luckily this year they are at an age where they like most toys and will probably be happy with what ever they get.
