Petite Picasso and Mini Monet

I pinned an idea from Pinterest for Bathtub Painting a few months ago but I hadn't been inspired to try it until my friend Cerina posted this picture on her Facebook page last month.
Fun in the tub with Paul and Lola!
This was all the motivation I needed to get out the necessary ingredients (all stuff that I had at home) and mix up a batch for Tanner and Abigail.

Bathtub Paint
1 T. cornstarch
4-6 (about 1/8 c.) pumps of baby shampoo, any brand
2-3 drops food coloring
1-2 t. water

Directions:
Mix up each color in a small container or mix them all up in an empty ice cube tray or muffin tin.  Strip your children down, put them in the tub (paintbrushes in hand), and let them go to town.

As I was mixing up our first batch, my husband commented from the other room, "I hope it doesn't stain the tub."  He is always skeptical about my Pinterest ideas.  I did a test patch just to be sure...it was fine.  I painted their names on the tub wall and gave them the "green light" to get messy.  They had a blast!

When they were finished painting I put some water in the tub and gave them each a piece of sponge.  They had as much fun cleaning as they did painting.  Once the walls were clean I drained the water and then filled it up with clean water to give them a real bath.
Cleaning is FUN!
In the end everything was clean...my kids, my bath tub, and my bathroom floor (hehe)!
