Stampin'

A few months ago I found an idea on Pinterest to make Bottle Top Stamps.  I began collecting bottle caps of all sizes (soda, juice, milk, etc.) and I bought a few packages of foam stickers.  Once I had enough bottle caps I stuck the shapes on...I even made an entire alphabet set.
The first time we used our stamps we dipped them in paint.  Once Tanner and Abigail began stamping I decided that ink pads would have been a better medium.  The paint worked fine, but we had to get it super thin on the plate so that it didn't GLOB on the stamp and then make a unrecognizable shape on the paper.  The kids had fun but the perfectionist in me was already planning how to make it better the next time.

The second time we used our stamps we made some Love Blossom Trees (another Pinterest idea).  It was much easier for Tanner and Abigail to use the stamps themselves and clean up was simple.
The shape of the bottle top is enough to keep their fingers out of the ink/paint (sort of) and their size makes it easy for them to hold on to.
